IEEE Tufts Student Branch

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a professional society whose goal is to foster interest in the advancement of technology worldwide. IEEE is the voice of engineering and is trusted by engineers all over the world to provide theoretical and computational standards, useful publications, conferences, and many other activities and resources.

Here at Tufts, IEEE is a pre-professional organization, and we provide our university's students with many unique opportunities. We meet weekly at Friday 12 PM in the Halligan Hall Conference Room, where we discuss upcoming events and strive to improve Tufts students' academic and professional experiences.

We focus on: speakers, internship workshops, graduate school workshops, networking events, science and technology field trips, student led workshops, competitions, and industry tours. If you are interested in cosponsoring an event with our branch, please email us at
